Celebrine

Crystalline, 80s-inspired synth-pop from a Russian duo
All alone in Tokyo, chasing the wheel of change.
lyrics from Tokyo

Celebrine is a Moscow, Russia based duo formed in 2011 by Kate Logacheva and Ilya Dmitriev. Both of them have academic background in music and art which doesn’t prevent them from writing songs influenced by underground dance and pop classics as well as modern futuristic sound.

This sound can be heard on their debut album, Happy Tears. It was released at the end of 2014 by NON Records. The ten-track album features singles "Cellar Door" and "Selfdestructive Boy," both of which demonstrate the duo's knack for balancing the bleak with danceable synth-pop.

Influences ranging from 80s greats like The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Cocteau Twins can all be heard in Celebrine's sound.
