Sante Les Amis is a group that was formed in 2007, in Montevideo, Uruguay, that quickly became part of the local music scene with their fusion of rock and electronica, producing a sound that has been called “rock for the dance floor”
With two EPs (Sante Les Amis (2008), Morning Shine (2010), and a series of live shows characterized by intense audiovisiuals, they played on the biggest stages in Montevideo and shared the stage with artists like Café Tacuba and La Mala Rodriguez. Both Eps were nominated for the Graffiti awards from Uruguayan Music and in 2011 they won the Iris Prize in the magazine El Pais in the Digital Music Category, as well as being highlighted in Rolling Stone Argentina.
Their album Sudamericana, released on Nacional Records May 27, contains 11 new songs in both Spanish and English, on which the band affirms their versatility and has launched them onto the Uruguayan and Argentinean scenes. In support of their latest album, they have shared the stage with world-renowned artists like Franz Ferdinand and Foals.
On July 9th, they made their US debut at the esteemed Latin Alternative Music Conference in New York City.
