Jacob Jeffries Band

Instantly likable vocals bursting with hook filled melodies
People always telling me I gotta live a dreamers life, don't wanna get cut down when I'm old.
lyrics from You've Got Some Nerve

Jacob Jeffries is a singer/songwriter signed to Warner Chappell. He incorporates a unique style of storytelling in his songwriting displayed through captivatingly raw performances. This won him 1st place at the coveted "Eddie's Attic Annual Shootout" a special songwriters competition also won by the Indigo Girls and John Mayer. Bursting with hook filled melodies and dramatic, instantly likable vocals, Jacob captures the best of his influences: from Gavin DeGraw, to Ben Folds, to the Beatles. This recent BMI "Pick of The Month Artist" won the Florida Grammy Showcase for Best New Artist. Jacob recently opened for Allen Stone, Eric Hutchinson, Sister Hazel, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Dashboard Confessional, as well as performed at several music festivals including SXSW, Wanee Music Festival and CMJ Music Marathon. He was also a special guest (courtesy of BMI) at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Jacob is currently writing for his 5th release due out in spring of 2014. He’s been praised by the New York Times (“It’s going to take one little person like Jacob to open doors to all those other Jacobs out there”) and took home Gold in the coveted Eddies Attic National Singer Songwriter Shootout. Glamour.com referred to Jacob Jeffries Band as “piano driven (think Ben Folds) group that has me bopping to their newest album, Tell Me Secrets.”

During a NBC6 South Florida interview, Jacob described his music as “piano songs that make you tap your feet and think about life.” He got a little more philosophical in an interview with the music streaming website Grooveshark.com about the 2012 release of 'Tell Me Secrets.' Jacob described his music career, “that’s my job in the world, on this earth – to play music for people to relate to. And there’s no Secret about that!”
