Brian Irving is the music alias of songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, synth and drum programmer Brian Brater. Brian's debut album, "Radiant Things", blends conscious lyrics and lush atmospheric lo-fi/hi-fi electro neo psychedelia with recent critical comparisons to Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, and Neon Indian.
As Brown University freshmen, Brian along with old friend Jarret Myer managed and produced live music for local rappers and producers.
A couple of years later they founded and built the legendary hip hop label Rawkus Records, where they signed Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star, Pharaohe Monch, Company Flow, Big L, and Reflection Eternal and promoted and marketed Eminem and Common.
Brian was also instrumental in developing the careers of mega-producer Dr. Luke and Frank Ocean collaborator Om'mas Keith.
Today, Brian is co-founder of UPROXX.COM and YouTube studio BigFra.me, home to cutting edge videographers. The "Eyes Wide" video, produced by Los Angeles art and design collective Something In The Universe is inspired by the organic energy of Captain Murphy and Tampa Impala videos as well as the imagery and style of assume vivid astro focus and London's 14 Hour Technicolor Dream.
