Jay Murphy of Up Until Now has so far lived his life completely centered and orbiting around music. With his newest project he distills the pure essence of music that has always driven him and channels it into electronic dance music with the sole purpose of making bodies move.

After a flurry of fall dates that saw Up Until Now play headlining gigs in major markets, rousing sets at end of season festivals, and hosting guest musicians David Murphy of sts9 and Jon “The Barber” Gutwillig of The Disco Biscuits, Jay Murphy dropped The Pleasure Sessions in December 2012. A pulsing electro flavor holds the four songs together while trappy flourishes nod to UUN’s southern roots. Tailored to keep the party moving, the EP flows effortlessly – the perfect soundtrack to the end of what was a monumental year.

Since playing his first show in early 2010, Up Until Now has performed across the country from Portland, OR to Jacksonville, FL, from New York City to Austin, TX. He has been blessed to share the stage with such acts as Snoop Dogg, STS9, Big Gigantic, The New Deal, Bonobo, Two Fresh, and Emancipator just to name a few. In the summer of 2011, shortly after the release of Billet Doux (1320 Records), he was featured at some of the top music festivals in the country such as Camp Bisco X, Regeneration Music and Arts Festival, and Blackwater Music Festival. With the momentum Up Until Now has built in 2011 and 2012, 2013 is sure to be a huge year.
